Inanahi i tatū mai a Tame Pokaia ki te tuku karakia mō tō tātou whare manaaki, a Kāinga Rua. Yesterday morning our KFST trustee Tame Pokaia blessed our new whare, Kāinga Rua with a karakia. Our CEO, Dr Nicole Coupe, in looking at the needs of whānau and considering the Covid-19 outbreak, had requested Kāinga Rua be ready for service as soon as possible. So many people have been working around the clock to prepare Kāinga Rua and we’re only a few final touch ups away from opening. We thank all those who have supported this project and will welcome their ongoing support in weeks and months to come. The official opening on April 8th is now cancelled. This service will walk alongside tamariki and their whānau who are rawakore (experiencing extreme poverty) and kāinga kore (homeless).
